Your engine's ECU controls fuel delivery, boost pressure, injection timing, and a dozen other parameters. From the factory, these are set conservatively — designed for average conditions, global emissions standards, and the lowest common denominator of fuel quality. A proper remap recalibrates these parameters specifically for your engine, your fuel, and how you drive.
